1. You still have one
It's yet another day to live and love. :-)
2. Birthdays are good for you.
Statistics show that people who have the most birthdays live longest!
3. Celebrations
I love celebrating birthdays. To laugh and joke with someone, and treat them annually as they grow up and older, is a great celebration of their travelling around our sun for another 365 and a quarter days.
4. Variety of ways to celebrate
In earlier decades my birthday was just another day of fun. Later it became another day to do good work. My best birthday memories are surprise parties thrown by friends (embarrassing but fun!) or sampling delights of other country's birthday protocols, such as Denmark's traditional cake and song.
5. Facebook birthday invites
Last week's birthday was different to most. Facebook reminds friends and acquaintances around the world to send good wishes, without remembering hundreds of birth dates. To be invited by friends to 12 different countries on my birthday meant one holiday a month until my next birthday! :-0 Thank you!
6. A timely reminder of how much time we left
Birthdays remind us how much time we have left - or how little - to achieve a soul purpose, and leave this planet more healed than when we arrived. If we all tried, we'd leave a happier world to our grandchildren.
7. Opportunity to review the past
Birthdays are opportunities to review the previous year. Use Reiki healing, or other therapies, or move away from what didn't work. Expand what worked, with spiritual and Godly love..
8. Opportunity to plan the future
Birthdays are like my New Year's Eve blog - a time to set 7 goals for success in the coming year. Gosh, have I set some goals! Watch this space...
9. Wisdom comes with age
Wisdom comes with age. You can still be silly, but there's less silly mistakes.
10. Love
It's a time to assess who and what and how you love. How much love can you share daily? It's the reason, apart from chocolate, to be alive!
11. Chocolate
Birthdays are nature’s way of telling us to eat more chocolate!
