Here in the Basque country of Spain, Easter has spiritual significance, even in foods. Traditionally, no meat is eaten, to respect the flesh of Christ dying on the Cross.
Local families meet and prepare to parade around the city centre with huge statues of Christ on the Cross. These families wear symbols of their Easter organisation - golden crosses that are handed from father to child throughout generations.
