My 'church', the Society for Independent Christian Ministry (SICM) gathered yesterday near London UK to ordain a new priest. The sermon was by Rev'd Theresa, who runs her church in Jamaica; support by Rev Susanna, chaplain for ASDA, a branch of Walmart; breaking of bread by Fr John who won awards for ministering on streets outside night clubs; and Bishop Jonathan who performed the UKs first gay wedding.
SICM is "all-inclusive". In other words, everyone may apply to be a minister or priest, including women like the new priest today.
Do you feel called to do God's work? Do you share Christian love? You could become a minister or priest too?
For me, it's an extension to help others in need. Including customised baptisms, weddings and funerals.
