I was text-Skyping a lovely Singaporean Chinese friend. In the 1990s she'd organised my healing, psychic and spiritual courses in Singapore and Malaysia. A few years ago she asked me to help her Malay friend, who'd been adopted, to trace her lost father in UK. Two hours later I phoned her back with the phone number of her friend's father. My friend said, 'You're scary sometimes, Allan. My friend's been trying to trace her father all her life, and you find him in two hours.'
Today the conversation was on how to be happily friendly with bad neighbours. 'It's so difficult sometimes,' my friend typed, 'to be friendly with people who aren't nice.'
'Yes,' I typed back. 'That's one reason we're on this planet, to learn how to be loving and kind under the most difficult circumstances.'
'Why do we need to?' she skyped. 'Why not just ignore them?'
'We need to show proof to "those above" we've learned a lesson.'
'What lesson?'
'To share love from our soul unconditionally. Then we can move on to our soul purpose. Because we can only achieve our soul purpose when we prove we can share unconditional love. Isn't it about time you shared your love unconditionally with neighbours, so you can move on to your soul purpose?'
Her reply was brief. 'No, I'm not as tough as you.'
I knew what she meant. Horrid people sometimes say such unfair and negative things about us, it's difficult to forgive and move on. It's not easy for me sometimes, and I teach the subject!
