"Dear Sensei Allan. Morning. Please tell me what to do. I am in intense pain from sciatica and fibromyalgia and in the last month can't walk more than 20 yards, and have little energy anyway. The hospital says a major operation is needed on a nerve in my back but the op could lead to paralysis. So even that may not help. Can you help, and ask your angels to intervene please? What do I do?"
Sometimes my replies are along the lines of, "This is the answer, and the only answer." Sometimes my reply gives options for ways forward. And sometimes I must be ethical and say, "I'm sorry, I have no idea how to help," and perhaps refer on.
Today's email fell into a fourth category. I have no idea how to help because information given is inadequate to offer a view. I need to ask questions by email first.
- Are the sciatica and fibromyalgia linked, or are they two separate conditions?
- What is causing you to walk only 20 yards, the sciatica or the fibromyalgia?
- About the sciatica - what types of healing or treatments have you tried, with what results?
- About the fibromyalgia - what types of healing or treatments have you tried, with what results?
- About the fibromyalgia - has this been linked to ME or CFS?
- Before you had fibromyalgia, were you infected by a virus?
- Have you been assessed using the 2003 Canadian Protocols for CFS / ME / fibromyalgia?
- And so on...
In the meantime, I'll certainly do as requested, and 'ask my angels to intervene'.
