For new readers, surgeons had cut a vein during what should have been a minor hernia operation. Three pints of blood had flooded both sides of my peritoneal wall and surrounding areas. Much pain, swelling, and internal problems resulted. At last, although there's still pain in the hernia-repaired area, all seems on the mend.
Thank you.
So this blog will resume shortly. Yes, more weird and wonderful stories of miracle cures, psychic teachings, spirituality, love and enlightenment. :-)
Here's a quickie from last Sunday, to get off the ground - literally!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A good friend, Phillip, a born-again Christian, invited me to church last Sunday.
I love churches, mosques, temples, synagogues - anything to attract people to a version of God. It's not always 100% positive, but their generally kinder more loving energy, warms hearts and minds.
The service mentioned helping others, including sharing bread (food) not just with friends, but with their friends too. Sharing lovingly with friends' friends' helps closed and blocked people open more warmly.
After, Phillip's Christian friend invited him for dinner, and as per the service, offered to share with me too.
Over dinner, conversation moved to one of my favourite subjects. How did an individual find their faith? What experience happened?
Phillip's friend's answer may seem weird. But I love this subject because 'weird' is often 'normal' - it's just not common.
"One day, a blinding white light suddenly appeared," the friend said. "The light surrounded me. Then I felt my soul rise up out of my body, higher, until I was floating in the air. I had white wings. But my body was black."
The experience left such a profound feeling, he became a born-again Christian.
Although this type of story is not common, I've heard similar stories from others.
Others I've met have also seen a brilliant white light, so bright they couldn't look at it directly. It's a bit like the classic story of St Paul on the road to Damascus who saw a blinding white light and converted to Christianity.
Others have also seen their perfect angelic nature manifest in the form of white wings, and their imperfect human side manifest as black.
Interestingly, many of these people joined other faiths. The experience was Godly, and to manifest that godliness in their human lives, they joined some type of faith.
People join a faith for many reasons. But feeling guided to a faith by a normal but uncommon experience is a wonder of the Universe.
I pray more people can take down their shutters, get rid of their blocks, remove their barriers. And then open themselves to the existence of the strange-but-true beauty of angelic nature and godliness.
II wonder what spiritual experience Tom Cruise had that led him to Scientology...?
