Alba was agitated, not her usual calm self. "Last night Harry had a vision of another disaster."
Oh dear. The last time she rang me, his visionary premonition of an Air France plane from Brazil to Paris crashing into the Atlantic had just come true. I took a swig from the carton of organic chocolate goat's milk. Only yesterday, a report by French Aviation Authorities stated that a combination of technical failure and human error and technical failure caused the 228 deaths.
"Harry prophesised the French Airbus crash perfectly," I said. "He saw the storm, and problems with the plane's air-speed sensors, and how it confused the pilots into taking inappropriate action."
"Yes. I read that the BEA chief investigator Alain Bouillard told journalists something like,'The crew was in a state of almost total loss of control of the situation.' Harry saw all that."
"They never understood that the plane was in a stall as it descended. If we'd been friends at the time of his vision, I might have have taught him a method that could have prevented the disaster."
"Well, perhaps you can help his new vision. It's the second time he's had it. A friend suggested he and I must tune to the event, and then astral travel together and explore the disaster. I don’t feel like astral travelling with him. It’s his path, not mine."
Good. Alba unconsciously knows most things. "You’re right. All visionary prophets must explore and resolve visions by themselves, or how will he learn his trade?"
"Yep."
"What was the vision this time?"
"He saw a map of all the world’s oilfields. Then he somehow zoomed in on one, and saw it exploding. He knows the disaster will come true next year. And he knows where it will happen. Like the plane crashing into the Atlantic came true. It's disturbed him."
Thoughts flashed through my head.
Hmm… If it's a real prophesy, I could teach him Wave Interference Nullification (WIN) methods. That should prevent the disaster occurring... It's our job to relieve suffering. This might be his gift to help our world.
If I don't teach WIN, this disaster might happen. I swigged the organic chocolate milk.
But it’s only his second disaster vision. I know Harry well. He lacks confidence. If I teach WIN and he 'cures' the event so nothing happens, he won't take the credit for the event not happening. He’ll almost certainly think his vision was wrong. Then he’d not trust future visions and give up on them, and maybe not use his gift to prevent future disasters.
Whether I teach WIN or not, it's not a win-win situation. Help in the short-term and maybe not in the long? Or help in the long-term, and maybe not in the short?
"Let’s see what happens," I said quietly. "Harry said the disaster would occur next year. There's plenty of time to decide what to do."
I pushed the phone into my pocket, drank the organic chocolate goat’s milk before reaching the checkout, and paid for the empty carton, with empty feelings in my heart.
